Did you know that Indoor Air is frequently 60-70% more polluted than Outdoor Air (EPA) and the EPA ranks poor indoor air quality among the Top 5 Environmental risks to public health? Did you know that the average home produces over 40 pounds of dust in a year (Discover Magazine)….and did you know that children are much more prone to illnesses caused by indoor air quality issues (American Lung Ass’n) than adults are?
Listed below are the steps we follow when we do a whole house duct cleaning:
All Registers and Grills are removed and cleaned and reinstalled after the duct cleaning is complete
A nozzle, operating under high pressure compressed air, is guided through the system to loosen any debris/contaminants on the interior of the duct system
All ducts, both Supply and Return, are hooked to a high Efficiency HEPA Vacuum Cleaner and cleaned
The blower assembly is removed, cleaned and reinstalled.
The rest of the air handler/furnace is vacuumed and cleaned
The evaporator coil is evaluated and a recommendation is made as to whether or not it requires additional cleaning (additional charge)
An optional Duct Sanitizing solution can be sprayed throughout the entire system to minimize the growth of microbial organisms.
You may want to consider having Air Probe Sanitizer UV lights installed at the same time that you have your ducts cleaned. Be sure to ask your technician about them!
